11:15 to 11:30 in the morning – The stock market in London will close at 11:30 ET. Between this time European traders stepped out of their positions when new lows or highs were made or tested. This is usually the last significant step before prices settle at lunch.

2 Noon to 2:45 Noon – There isn't too much to watch but you need to be vigilant. It's getting closer to the end of the day, with many people struggling for their positions.
3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. – Trends can quickly change during this time. In many cases, the period is a "shock" when individuals may begin to try and reaffirm themselves. In some cases, you can make money, but you don't have to count on it.
3:55 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Unless you have a specific strategy for trading in the last few minutes of the day, you must complete three to five minutes before closing. The US market will have a closing auction and everything is done in one transaction, which takes place at 4 pm.
